The website

The pages describe solar panels, heat pumps, battery storage, and EV chargers for homes in Edinburgh and the Lothians. Funding figures are taken from the public sources linked on those pages, with the date we checked them. A figure on a third-party page can change after that date.

You may read the site for your own household. You may share a link to a page. Copying the text or images for another business needs our written agreement.

Quotes

The contact form is a request for a survey and a quote. The quote describes the work, the materials, and the labour for the property that was surveyed. The agreed work is the work in the quote you accept.

Cancellation

You can cancel a distance or off-premises contract for any reason during the cancellation period (regulation 29 of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013). The exceptions in that regulation cover enhanced delivery, diminished value, return of goods, and an early start to a service.

For an installation, that period ends 14 days after the day the contract is entered into (regulation 30 of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013). For goods, the 14 days generally run from the day you take possession, with further rules in that regulation when deliveries are split.

The period can run for longer when the required cancellation information has been missed (regulation 31 of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013).

The installation starts after the cancellation period unless you expressly ask for an earlier start (regulation 36 of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013). For an off-premises contract that request is on a durable medium. If the work is fully finished after that request, and you acknowledged that the right would end once the work was fully finished, the right to cancel ends. If you cancel after an early start that you requested, you pay an amount in proportion to what has been supplied. Where the required cancellation information was missed, or the service was supplied without that request, you bear no cost for the supply in the cancellation period.
